ShareFest Oxford 2012

04/30/2012

Miami and Oxford community members: donate your furniture and other items - rather than throw them away - to ShareFest Oxford during Miami's Move-Out Week, May 3-May 8. For details or to sign up to volunteer, go to www.sharefestoxford.com
.

ShareFest Oxford is a service and environmental event dedicated to the collection and redistribution of items donated by Miami University students at the end of the academic year. Collected items benefit residents in need and social service agencies throughout the region.

In 2011, more donations were received than in any previous year since ShareFest began in 2005. Hundreds of large furniture items and thousands of housewares and food products were collected during the six-day event, benefitting Bunker Hill Haven for Boys, Butler County Children Services, the Family Resource Center in Oxford, the Junction, Lighthouse Food Pantry and Thrift Store and Serve City/Chosen.

Some items are sold at discounted prices at a special sale by the Family Resource Center, with proceeds benefitting the center.

To learn about the impact of previous ShareFest events, read the ShareFest 2011 Final Report.
