University Senate action April 16

On Monday, April 16, University Senate heard a report from the fiscal priorities and budget planning committee. Senate received the curriculum report and Senate committee minutes on the consent calendar and approved the April 9, 2012, minutes.

With the approval of the April 16, 2012, abbreviated minutes, Senate endorsed SR 12-35, SR 12-36, SR 12-37, and SR 12-38.

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT University Senate adopt amended revisions to the Bylaws of University Senate, Section 6.B.15.a, University Liberal Education Committee, as set forth below:
6.B.15.a. The Liberal Education Council shall be composed of…

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT University Senate adopt revisions to the Bylaws of University Senate, Section 6.C.4.a, Committee for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching, and University Assessment, as set forth below:
6.C.4.a. The Committee for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching, and University Assessment shall be composed of:

• Seven (7) faculty members, at least one (1) of whom shall be a member of University Senate; and one (1) of whom shall, in consultation with the Director of the Center for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching, and University Assessment, be appointed chair.
