On Monday, April 9, University Senate heard a report from the Academic Policy Committee and the Ad Hoc Regional Campus Committee on the Proposal to Establish a New Academic Division for the Regional Campuses.
Senate voiced sense-of-the-Senate votes supporting Provisions 4, 5, and 6; and sense-of-the-Senate votes opposing Provisions 1, 2, 3, and 7.
With the approval of the April 2, 2012, minutes, Senate endorsed SR 12-26, revisions to the Promotion and Tenure Guidelines for Dossier Preparation, 2012-2013.
The next meeting of University Senate is scheduled to be held at 3:15 p.m. Monday, April 16, 111 Harrison Hall.

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that University Senate adopt the proposed revisions to Promotion and Tenure Guidelines for Dossier Preparation for the Academic Year 2012-2013 and as amended below:
Section 2.3, Service (first paragraph) …Thus, service to the University and the community at large, as well as to academic and professional organizations, is an important component of the faculty member’s obligation.
