Nikkole Lynn Hapner, known as Nikki, died Friday, March 16, in Preble County. She was 30 and a staff member in Miami University’s advancement department.
A graduate of Miami (‘04), Nikki also worked at Hueston Woods Lodge. She graduated from Preble Shawnee High School before earning her degree at Miami in integrated social studies education. Nikki lived in Camden and was a member of the Berachah Baptist Church in Middletown.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Kathleen “Kathi” (Smith) and John Buttery; father and stepmother, Richard and Truda Hapner; grandmother, Mary Buttery; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeremy (Kelly) Crank and Josh (Melody) Hapner; stepbrothers Jason and Jonathan Lewis; stepsister, James (Matt) Williams and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service is Tuesday, Mar. 20, at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Monday, Mar. 19, beginning at 4 p.m.
