Gilbert is a Hamilton native and winner of the 2011 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring. He is the IDEaS professor and chair of the Human-Centered Computing Division at Clemson University. His research integrates people, technology, information, policy, culture and more to address societal issues. He will speak at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center, Miami Hamilton. He will also speak at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Miriam G. Knoll Community Center, Miami Middletown. |
