Development office prepares for year-end giving

Since Miami University receives a large volume of year-end contributions, Miami's development office will be open on Dec. 27-30, when Miami closes campus for winter break.

Those divisions outside university advancement who receive gifts the last two weeks of December should immediately contact the development office (529-1230 or MUdevelopment@muohio.edu). Arrangements will be made to quickly get the necessary information.

To count as 2011 contributions:
Gifts by check or credit card must be postmarked (U.S. mail) by Dec. 31 or hand-delivered to university advancement by the end of business day (5 p.m.) on Dec. 30.

Miami must receive transaction details of online gifts by 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 31. The secure online site is www.ForLoveandHonor.org/GiveOnline2011.

Gifts of stock must be received by our broker before 2:30 p.m. for a same-day stock transfer. Because of heavy transaction activity, the sooner in December the gift is made, the better.
