Celebration of Life event to be held for Phyllis Campbell, aka "Mama Jazz"

Phyllis Campbell, aka
A Celebration of Life for Phyllis Campbell who died Saturday, Nov. 26, will be held 2:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Avenue.

Music will be provided by Dave Greer and the Classic Jazz Stompers.

Campbell, also known as Mama Jazz, hosted the "Mama Jazz" radio show for WMUB 88.5 FM for about 30 years, where she had attained a large fan base.

She also worked in other capacities at Miami University from 1967 until she retired in 1994, first in the personnel and guidance department and later as secretary to the dean of the graduate school.
