Explore the history of the Argentine Tango

Through musical examples, video and live performance, Miami University's Thomas George Caracas Garcia will explore the history and development of the Argentine Tango in a lecture at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Shriver Center Heritage Room.

Garcia, associate professor of music and Latin American studies, presents "Tango! The National Dance of ... " as part of the UniDiversity program and the Passionate About Latin/o America and Caribbean Series.

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for American and World Cultures with support from the department of music and the office of international programs-regional campuses.
