Track the band as it marches toward Herald Square

Follow Miami University's marching band as it heads toward New York City's Herald Square during the 85th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday, Nov. 24, with a new mobile application featuring a participant tracker button.

Macy’s and MyCityWay have teamed up to bring spectators parade information plus a comprehensive guide to New York City. The App will include traffic cameras to allow for real time parade viewing, and a parade participant tracker allowing spectators to follow 14 various cheerleading, dance troupes, marching bands, and Santa’s float. Miami's 257-member band will play "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" as they usher in Santa and his sleigh. The band was chosen from a pool of more than 150 applicants based on their superior musical ability, marching technique and performance skills. This is the second time Miami has appeared in the parade; the first was in 2003.
