"As You Like It" opens Nov. 16

The Miami University department of theatre presents "As You Like It" by William Shakespeare, directed by Howard Blanning, assistant professor of theatre, at 8 p.m. Nov. 16-19 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 20, in Gates-Abegglen Theatre.

One of Shakespeare's great comedies, “As You Like It” subverts the traditional rules of romance in this tale of cross-dressing, mistaken identity and love, filled with poetry, song, slapstick humor and shrewd observations about human nature.

Tickets are $9 public, $8 seniors and $6 students/youth and available at the Miami University box office, 529-3200 or www.tickets.muohio.edu.

“As You Like It” is one of the featured events of Miami’s Year of the Arts celebration.
