Miami on the Move day to share transportation ideas

Miami University hosts Miami on the Move day Tuesday, Nov. 15, for students, faculty, staff and community members who would like to learn about and share ideas to make campus transportation more efficient, sustainable and healthy.

From 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Shriver Center multipurpose room, visitors can ride a smoothie-blender bike and check out an electric car, learn about transportation issues and brainstorm ways to improve transportation at Miami.

At the event, the community can also view Miami’s plans to expand pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, improve the Miami Metro system and promote smart parking policies.

Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike or carpool to Miami on the Move, which is hosted by the office of parking and transportation, Associated Student Government, the physical facilities department and Employee Health & Well-Being.
