Skaters to hold exhibition program Saturday

This Saturday, the Miami University synchronized skating teams are giving fans a sneak preview of the RedHawks' programs for the upcoming season. All three teams will be showcasing their programs in an exhibition at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Coach Cady Arena at the Goggin Ice Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Although the exhibition is free, the RedHawk skating teams are asking patrons to bring a non-perishable item that will be donated to the Oxford Food Pantry.

In addition to the three Miami synchronized skating teams, guest skaters at the event will be the Oxford Ice Crystals Juvenile Team.

The exhibition is a tune-up for all three RedHawk teams, who open their 2011-12 competitive seasons Dec. 3-4 at the Dr. Richard Porter Classic. The RedHawks will try to sweep gold at the national championships March 1-3 in Worchester, Mass.
