The Miami University chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity has been found responsible for violating the Code of Student Conduct, Section 105B (Prohibited use of alcohol).
In September, Phi Delta Theta fraternity self-reported an incident to the university and to its national headquarters that occurred in Indiana. The organization in conjunction with its national office presented a series of self-imposed sanctions to the university including an alcohol education class.
The following is the mandatory sanction imposed upon on the fraternity by the university:
- The members of Phi Delta Theta fraternity must complete an alcohol education course with 80 percent of its members and 100 percent of the most recent new member class attending.
