A Focus the Nation Clean Energy Forum will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, in 100 Hughes Labs at Miami University. Speaker presentations on energy issues will be followed by panel discussions.
Focus the Nation (FTN) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean energy solutions through youth leadership development. Every February, students working with FTN host Clean Energy Forums on college campuses across the country.
The forum at Miami includes presentations by Bill Rauckhorst, professor emeritus of physics; Ralph Dull of Dull Homestead Farm, a 2,800 acre farm that focuses on alternative energy in Brookville, Ind.; and a representative from the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance.
Panelists include Steve Melink of the Melink Corporation, an Ohio based clean energy industry whose headquarters recently received the LEED Platinum EB certification; Scot Thrapp, of the Ohio Department of Developmentās Energy Division; and an energy engineer from Miami.
The forum is free; participants are encouraged to register online.
