Stephen D. Snyder, secretary to the board of trustees and executive assistant to the president, has informed Miami University that he will retire on March 1, 2011. President David Hodge has asked Snyder to return to employment following his retirement to serve as secretary to the board and executive assistant to the president through Dec. 31, 2011. Snyder will plan for the transition of his responsibilities and assist in the implementation of the university's strategic priorities. Because this appointment requires the approval of the board of trustees and in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 145.381, the university will hold a public meeting on the issue of Snyder's re-employment at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, in 223 Roudebush Hall. |
