"Red Elvis" reading by Ukrainian writer Zhadan

Serhiy Zhadan, a leading contemporary Ukrainian writer, will present a reading of his play "Red Elvis" at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in 40 Irvin Hall at Miami University.

Zhadan is a noted poet, novelist and performance artist from Kharkiv, Cincinnati’s sister city. He also served as the leader of the tent camp on Kharkiv’s main square during the events of the Orange Revolution in 2004.

His talk, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies.
