Miami advertisements begin next week

Starting next week Miami will begin running external advertising in three major Ohio markets - Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland - designed to raise awareness of Miami and its outstanding education of students. The ads will also help generate applications for next year's class. The ad copy is focused on Miami's ratings -- #2 in "best undergraduate teaching" in U.S.News and World Report and the PayScale.com earnings potential recognition.

The advertising campaign consists of billboards, radio advertising during “drive time,” regional print ads in publications such as Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, The Week, and Time; and online advertising.

At the same time, 20,000 homes of prospective students will receive a postcard that outlines the many national rankings we have recently received.

The attached pdf includes ad samples, a chart of billboard locations, the radio stations involved and estimated “impressions” that each element will generate for Miami.
