Steel Band performs funk, ska, pop and blues

The Miami University Steel Band, directed by Chris Tanner, will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in Hall Auditorium. The band will be joined by a horn section for the concert, which will feature funk, ska, pop and the blues.

Guest musicians — professionals from the Cincinnati-Dayton area — include Scott Belck, trumpet; Jeremy Long, tenor saxophone; Hal Melia, alto saxophone; Jaime Morales-Matos, trombone; Randy Villars, tenor saxophone and John Zappa, trumpet.

Tickets, $7 public, $5 students and seniors, are available at the box office in Shriver Center or 529-3200.
