Miami University Middletown’s Artist and Lecture Series continues with the November performance by the Taiwan National College of the Performing Arts, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium.
The Taiwan National College of the Performing Arts will present the “Peking Opera.” The “Peking Opera” is a 200-year-old Chinese performance that combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics. Tickets are free but required.

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Trombone Shorty is a 24-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumental musician from New Orleans. Tickets for the public are $20. Faculty, staff and senior tickets are $18. Tickets for students and children are $10.
The Punch Brothers will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011. The Punch Brothers is a band known for its folk-based songwriting, virtuosic instrumental interplay, improvisation, jazz-like harmonic movement and vocal melodies with lyrics that form a short epic poem. Tickets for the public are $22. Faculty and staff tickets are $20. Tickets for students and children are $15.
Arlo Guthrie, a masterful storyteller, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011. As a storyteller, humorous philosopher and artist, Guthrie proves that folk is alive today. Tickets for the public are $30.
Faculty and staff tickets are $28. Tickets for students and children are $18.
