I am delighted to congratulate our colleagues whose achievements are recognized in these pages. Tenure and promotion is a rigorous process involving scrutiny by departments, program directors, chairs, deans, the university promotion and tenure committee, myself, President Hodge, and with final approval by the Board of Trustees. It was a tremendous privilege to be able to learn about our colleagues’ wonderful commitment to teaching, research and creative activity, their accomplishments to date, and their plans for the future.
