| Heidi A. McKee |
Heidi McKee has been granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of English. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2005. An affiliate faculty member of Armstrong Interactive Media Studies, her teaching and research interests include digital writing and rhetoric, composition pedagogies and qualitative research ethics and methodologies. She has published numerous articles and book chapters on digital technologies, the teaching of writing and ethics and methodologies. She is co-editor of the collection Technological Ecologies and Sustainability and the collection Digital Writing Research: Technologies, Methodologies, and Ethical Issues, which won the Computers and Writing award for Best Book of 2007. She co-authored The Ethics of Internet Research: A Rhetorical, Case-Based Approach. She is an active faculty member and administrator in Miami’s Digital Writing Collaborative. She is a member of Miami’s Human Subjects Institutional Review Board, and a member of the ethics committee for the Association of Internet Researchers. She is also a member of the Research Committee for the Conference on College Composition, and she co-chairs the national group, the Qualitative Research Network.
