Miami to hold study abroad roundtables

International education and study abroad roundtables will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in 212 MacMillan Hall on Miami’s Oxford campus.

Students and faculty who have studied abroad will reflect on how the experience impacted them personally and academically. They will talk about the kinds of actions and commitments that have been made and how crossing physical and cultural boundaries enriched their learning abroad.

The reflective conversation will also address how the experience empowered, challenged and transformed their lives.


The schedule includes:
5:15 p.m. Reception
5:30 p.m. Welcome by Alyssa Klein, MUDEC Coordinator, Dolibois European Center Introduction by Alan Winkler, Distinguished Professor of history
5:45 p.m. Theme 1: Intercultural Challenges
6:15 p.m. Theme 2: Continuing Your Experience
6:45 p.m. Final remarks, Kim Suellau, director of international programs, Farmer School of Business



The event is sponsored by the Center for American and World Cultures, Lifelong Learning, MUDEC Dolibois European Center, the office of international education and the Farmer School of Business International Programs.
