Information bulletin: Off-campus burglaries

Please be aware: Oxford police report two recent burglaries at student homes.

In one case, a student reported he returned from winter break Dec. 30 to find his computer missing from the locked bedroom of his home in the 100 block of Ardmore. It appears entry was made from a window.

In a second case, one of four roommates reported finding their locked bedroom doors forced open in their home in the 100 block of W. Sycamore. A flat-screen TV was among missing items. In this case it also appears entry was made from a window.

No injuries were reported in either of the cases.

Police remind everyone to make sure doors and first-floor windows are locked while they are sleeping or away.
