The editors of Science magazine have named the Ardi discovery the most significant science breakthrough of 2009. Bill Hart and Brian Currie (geology), while not mentioned in this article, were part of the scientific team that uncovered this new evidence of human evolution in the Afar Rift, Ethiopia.
