Graduate students awarded for presentations

The first annual Graduate Research Forum recognized six Miami University graduate students for their presentations of their research. The forum, held on Nov. 6 in the Shriver Center, awarded the top three students from the following categories:

Jenise M. Bauman from the department of botany
Michael J. Bernstein from the department of psychology
Lindy Cummings from the department of history
The top three poster presentations:
Cynthia Luxford from the department of chemistry and biochemistry
Miki Watanabe from the department of chemistry and biochemistry
Yuta Kawarasaki from the department of zoology.

The Graduate School, as well as graduate alumni, granted each winner with $300 for professional expenses. About 150 Miami graduate students from different departments participated in the forum sponsored by the Graduate School in celebration of student research and Miami’s bicentennial.
