Geology department hosts open house Nov. 20

Miami University’s department of geology will host an open house to celebrate the university’s bicentennial and the history of the department. This event will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, in the Limper Geology Museum in Shideler Hall.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the department by touring the museum and the research facilities, as well as talking with geology faculty members and students.

After the open house, a presentation on the history of geology at Miami will be held, followed by a discussion led by faculty members. The lecture will begin at 4 p.m. in 10 Shideler Hall.
