Thanks to a $3.1 million grant from the National Science Foundation, researchers from Miami University, University of Illinois, the Hawaii Agriculture Research Center and Texas A&M will study the papaya sex chromosomes and work to develop a papaya that produces only hermaphrodite offspring.
