Associate Student Government outlines vision

Miami's Associated Student Government (ASG) has created a four-year strategic vision to outline its goals in addressing many concerns with various aspects of students' lives. It also is intended to give student governance solid direction and to let the university community better understand the perspective of students.

"Our strategic goals are important in providing for the long-term stability of our organization and a coherent student vision for improving Miami for years to come,” said Jonathan McNabb, ASG president. “They are also meant to be a point of reference for the Miami community when asking what the priorities of students are. Hopefully action will be sparked from these goals outside of student government, as well, that will improve our Miami.”

The most important goals, according to McNabb: “There are two that stand out to me as the most important. The first being improving the academic culture and support mechanisms of our institution. The second being the construction of a new student center that provides valuable resources to support students’ curricular and co-curricular lives.”
