Robert P. Jordan dies June 19

Robert P. Jordan, 81, of N. Ft. Myers, formerly of Oxford, died June 19 under the care of Hope Hospice staff at Sterling House, Cape Coral, Fl. He was employed at Miami University for 30 years working in the radio and television department from 1959 to 1988 when he retired.

Jordan attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and then received his FCC license at the Television Workshop in New York City. He was a past district governor in the Ohio Lions and also a long time member of the Oxford Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Elayne and son Robert (Carol) and daughter Joanne and his 2 grandchildren, Paul and Emily Jordan. A celebration of his life will be held in November at Del Tura Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
