Miami's Kids in College offers summer adventure

Space is available in the following two classes in Miami University’s Kids in College — Summer Science Adventure 2009: CSI Crime Scene Investigations and Eco-Adventures: Exploring Nature @ Miami University.

CSI Crime Scene Investigations will be held for children ages 8-12 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 6-10. Be a super science sleuth and have fun learning about forensics, crime scene investigations, and crime lab chemistry. Students perform as many as 15 different experiments designed to show them just how those tricky cases are solved.

Student will search for evidence, gather clues, and discover how science can help solve a mystery. They will dust for fingerprints, analyze handwriting, test for blood type using simulated blood, examine hair and clothing for fibers, use chemistry to identify mystery substances, and much more. Students will then use their skills to solve crimes of the century. Class fee $155

Eco-Adventures: Exploring Nature @ Miami University will be held for children ages 8-12 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 6-10. If your child loves plants and animals, the outdoors, bugs, they can learn all about the natural history of our area through hands-on field explorations in Miami’s Natural Areas and museums. Class fee $155.
