Miami University has been named a winner in the 2009 American Inhouse Design Awards, a competition of Graphic Design USA magazine, for the Admission Marketing Campaign.
A quote from the notification letter: “The American Inhouse Design Awards is the original and premier showcase for work by corporate and institutional inhouse departments. ... Perhaps because it is crucial at this moment to demonstrate the value of design and designer, the quantity and quality of entries were remarkably strong. There were 4,000+ entries in this year’s program from all over the country. In the end, fewer than 400 departments are being recognized with an award.”
Miami’s admission marketing campaign is a joint effort of the office of marketing communications and the office of admission. Donna Barnet, senior designer in marketing communications, is lead designer on the winning group of materials.
