Dance Theatre auditions Jan. 20

Auditions for Dance Theatre, Miami University's dance company, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the Dance Studio located in 115 Phillips Hall. Callbacks, if needed, will be Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Male and female students from all academic divisions are invited to audition. The company presents a variety of dance forms, including ballet, tap and ethnic dance styles but is primarily a modern and jazz dance based group.

Dance Theatre presents concerts each semester in Hall Auditorium, with choreography by company director Lana Kay Rosenberg, guest choreographers, alumni and current members. Gregory Robinson, former associate artistic director of Dayton Ballet; Joanna Kotze, Dance Theatre alumna and member of the New York City based Wally Cardona Company; and Dance Theatre alumna Margaret Donohue will each set a work on the company this semester.

An audition signup sheet will be posted outside the studio.

Dance Theatre is a member of OhioDance and the American College Dance Festival Association (ACDFA) and actively participates in ACDFA adjudicated festivals each year.
