Members of the Oxford and Miami University communities are invited to participate in the 20th annual African American Read-In, 1-4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, in 320 King Library.
Participants are invited to read a selection by an African-American author and listen to others read. Bring a selection or choose one from a display at the library.
The read-in began in 1990 as a formal part of Black History Month activities nationwide.
Pre-registration is not necessary but is recommended. Those who would like to read and have their name and work to be read listed in this year's program should send information to Kimberly Fox, firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than Thursday, Jan. 22.
