Miami student elected to national office

Brett Roeth
Brett Roeth, a senior architecture major at Miami University, has been elected as the 2009-2010 national vice president for the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS).

Roeth, an honors student from Piqua, has been extensively involved in Miami's AIAS chapter, including serving as president. In 2008 he was awarded the Sanford Z. Friedman scholarship from the department of architecture and interior design.

AIAS is an independent, non-profit and student-run organization founded in 1956 to promote excellence in architecture education, training and practice; foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines; enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; and organize students to combine their efforts to advance the art and science of architecture.
