Jan Montague to give 2007 Cottrell Alumni Lecture

Jan Montague, a national leader in wellness programs for older Americans, is the recipient of the 2007 W. Fred Cottrell Distinguished Alumni Award from Scripps Gerontology Center.

Montague, who earned a master’s degree in gerontological studies in 1992, will receive the award and deliver an address as part of the W. Fred (“Doc”) Cottrell Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in 180 Marcum Center. She will speak on the opportunities for innovation and careers in the growing wellness movement and emphasize the benefits wellness programs offer those in their later years.

Free and open to the public.
