New e-mail/calendaring system recommended

After lengthy review of several proposed replacement e-mail and calendaring systems by a cross-functional university-wide committee, IT services has recommended the university purchase and implement the Microsoft Exchange e-mail/calendaring solution. The proposal was reviewed by the new IT strategic advisory committee and other groups and councils.

Microsoft Exchange is an enterprise-class solution and the improvements it offers include integrated e-mail and calendar, cross-platform compatibility (Windows, Mac, Linux) and a Web interface that will provide a significantly improved method of accessing e-mail and calendaring.
