Zoology department featured on ‘My Road’

Miami’s department of zoology is highlighted on the College Board feature “My Road: Campus View,” the collegeboard.com college and career planning Web site.

The department is one of five programs currently profiled on “Campus View.” Highlights include:

• The zoology department is one of the largest in the country: faculty conduct research and offer courses in numerous areas, from animal behavior to molecular biology to ecology;

• Students can earn a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science;

• The department provides research opportunities both in and out of the classroom: two students interviewed have each been conducting research with faculty during the last two years.

Students who took the PSAT this year or students and staff affiliated with a school site program can see the MyRoad site for free. Others may have to pay to register.
