Sep 10, 2010

Miami University students of all majors, and especially those graduating by August 2011, will have an opportunity to explore job and internship opportunities with regional and national employers at Career Fair 2010 from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in Millett Hall.

As one of the largest events of its type in the country, Career Fair 2010 will feature employers from a variety of fields, including businesses, industries and selected governmental and public service agencies.

Students who have never been to the Career Fair are advised to first attend a training session, held from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in Shriver Center multipurpose rooms B and C.

The annual event will bring together an expected 2,500 students and more than 170 hiring organizations seeking to fill a variety of positions. Students in attendance have an opportunity to distribute copies of their résumés, speak directly with employer representatives and gain insight into a variety of career opportunities. Employers use the event to identify talented candidates to invite for interviews.

Employers confirmed to appear at Career Fair 2010 include Total Quality Logistics, The Hershey Company, Abercrombie & Fitch, Cintas, Procter & Gamble, Chrysler, Abbott Laboratory, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Peace Corps.
