Personal: Alejandra grew up in Venezuela, where she received a law degree from the University of Dr. Rafael Belloso Chacin.
Practical experience:
Before coming to Miami, Alejandra worked as a lawyer, a human resources manager, and a university instructor of introductory English. Currently, she works for the Center for American and World Cultures, assisting in event planning.
Career goals: Alejandra plans to go back into human resources, preferably within the oil industry, since she has a lot of experience in that field.
Fresh outlook: Studying literature and critical thinking has given Alejandra a great tool for the future. "If I go back to my HR career or if I go into education, it will prove to be both useful and resourceful. I feel it broadens my field of knowledge and makes me richer culturally and academically."
Program perks: "Miami is a school that offers good academics and is becoming very inclusive in its diversity program. I am very happy being part of [this] effort."
