Miami to create blueprint for health promotion at colleges

Miami University will be part of a national demonstration project to educate students on a variety of health issues such as smoking, diabetes, stress, sexually-related topics, alcohol and drugs and intellectual health. Depending on the outcome of the project, it could be the blueprint for health promotion at colleges across the country.

Wilson Lecture in botany: "The Wildfuels Alternative"

Michael Palmer, the Regents professor of Botany at Oklahoma State University, will present "The Wildfuels Alternative" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in Room 125 of the psychology building. His talk is the Roger Wilson Lecture in Botany.

Chinese Acrobats of Hebei to perform at Middletown

Miami University Middletown's Artist and Lecture Series kicks off its 2009-2010 season at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 with a must-see performance by the Chinese Acrobats of Hebei at Dave Finkelman Auditorium. This show will bring Chinese traditions, incredible acrobatics, stunning costumes, Chinese props and beautiful music.
