a The Hamilton campus has no residential facilities.

 

b Non-Campus - a Non-Campus is (1) any building or property owned or controlled by a student organization that is officially recognized by Miami; or (2) any building or property owned or controlled by Miami that is used in direct support of or in relation to, Miami's educational purposes, is frequently used by students, and is not within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area of Miami. The Hamilton campus has no builidings owned or controlled by student organizations. Non-contiguous buildings used by Miami-Hamilton in direct support of its educational purposes include off-site locations that were used to offer academic courses.

 

c Public Property - In 2004 and 2005, The City of Hamilton provided statistics for the district in which the Hamilton campus is located. In 2004, the University, based on the directions provided in the Handbook for Campus Crime Reporting, did not include the crime statistics for the Hamilton district in which the Hamilton campus is located. However, Miami University elected to include the Hamilton district statistics for 2004 and 2005 in Appendix B.

 

d Hate Crimes. Hate crimes are crimes that manifest evidence that the victim was intentionally selected because of the victim's actual or perceived race (RA), religion (RE), sexual orientation (SO), gender (G), ethnicity (E) or disability (D).

 

In 2004 and 2005, The City of Hamilton provided statistics for the district in which the Hamilton campus is located. In 2004, based on the directions provided in the Handbook for Campus Crime Reporting, no crime statistics were reported for 2004 and 2005 under Hate Crime- Public Property or on the Hate Crimes-Local & State Police category on the U.S. Department of Education Campus Crime and Security Survey.
