Safety Checklist

• Doors: Wide angled peepholes, sturdy construction.
  
  
• Door Locks: Dead bolt locks? Handle locks? Do they turn easily? Can you be assured the landlord re-keyed/replaced them since the last tenant?
  
  
• Windows: Have locks? Screens?
  
  
• House Number: Clearly displayed.
  
  
• Smoke Detectors: Are there any? Do they work properly?
  
  
• Exterior Entrances: Well lit, free of shrubbery, no dark spots.
