In addition to a proud athletic tradition, Miami students enjoy numerous opportunities to compete or simply unwind through physical activity and sports.
RedHawks
The RedHawks sports teams (MURedHawks.com) compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, and the U.S. Figure Skating Association.
Intramural Sports
Intramural sports and club sports attract about 1,800 teams in 45 sports.
Recreational Sports Center
Miami's state-of-the-art Recreational Sports Center includes courts for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, and racquetball; two swimming pools with diving center; aerobics rooms; an indoor jogging track; a climbing wall; and a two-story fitness center.
Goggin Ice Center
Goggin Ice Center, home to Miami hockey games, contains two ice rinks available for public skating, summer resident programs, and private lessons.
Outdoor Pursuit Center
The Outdoor Pursuit Center loans equipment and sponsors trips for camping, hiking, canoeing, rafting, and more.
