Statistical Methods

(18 semester hours)

This minor builds on the statistical methods of estimation and hypothesis testing introduced in the introductory statistics course. It includes additional study of the statistical methods involved in regression analysis and experimental design as well as options for study of non-parametric, quality control, and/or sampling methods. A capstone experience in statistics may also be included as part of this minor.

A minimum 2.0 g.p.a. is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser. This minor is not available to students earning a Bachelor of Science degree in statistics or mathematics and statistics.
