To apply for first-year admission, submit the items below.

  • Common Application

  • $45 Application Fee (non-refundable)
    The application fee may be submitted online with a credit card or electronic funds transfer from a bank account, or through the mail with a check or money order made payable to Miami University. For students who qualify, an official fee waiver form may be submitted in lieu of the application fee. Students requesting a fee waiver must submit a waiver form from the College Board, Upward Bound, Ohio College Access Network (OCAN), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), or a letter from a guidance counselor or representative of a social service/community agency stating that the fee would cause financial hardship.

    If you are applying as an Early Decision candidate and did not yet complete the Early Decision contract (PDF 40KB), you must submit it by the November 1 deadline.

  • School Report
    Download PDF (88 KB)
    Complete the applicant portion of the School Report form (also available at www.commonapp.org) and give the form to your counselor to complete and mail to Miami. The second page of the School Report contains an "Evaluation" section, which requires a letter of recommendation. If desired, you may ask a teacher to complete the second page of the School Report and write the letter of recommendation.
    (Academic requirements for home-schooled or other alternatively educated students can be found in The Student Handbook, Section 01.102.

  • Official High School Transcript
    Your counselor must mail your official high school transcript.

  • ACT/SAT I Scores
    These scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. You can request submission of these scores to Miami by contacting ACT or the College Board (SAT). Miami's ACT code is 3294; the SAT code is 1463. This requirement includes the ACT/SAT writing exam.

  • Additional Application Requirements
