Additional Application Requirements

School of Fine Arts
Students pursuing the following majors are required to submit a portfolio and/or schedule an audition by the application deadline: architecture, interior design, art, art education, graphic design, music, music education, music performance, and theatre. Honors Program
Miami's Honors Program provides a number of unique opportunities for high-ability students. Honors applicants who wish to be considered for Miami's premier scholarship, the Harrison Scholarship, must apply as Early Decision or Early Action candidates, and all application materials, including those for admission, are due by November 3, 2009. Students who do not wish to be considered for the Harrison Scholarship may still apply for the University Honors Program and for Miami admission as Early Decision, Early Action, or Regular Decision candidates.

Financial Aid
To apply for all need-based financial aid, including grants, select scholarships, loans, and the federal work study program, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (You can do this online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.) For priority financial aid consideration, you must submit the FAFSA between January 1 and February 15, 2010. Miami's institutional code is 003077. Accepted students who file a FAFSA by February 15 will be notified of their financial aid package in late March.
