Additional Application Requirements

School of Fine Arts
Students pursuing the following majors are required to submit a portfolio and/or schedule an audition by the application deadline: architecture, interior design, art, art education, graphic design, music, music education, and music performance. For specific admission requirements for each major, contact the School at 513-529-6010.

No audition is required for the bachelor's degree in theatre. However, if you are interested in this major, you are welcomed and encouraged to submit examples of your creative work in addition to your Miami application. For more information, visit the Department of Theatre.

Honors Program
Miami's Honors Program provides a number of unique opportunities for high-ability students. Honors applicants who wish to be considered for Miami's premier scholarship program, the Harrison Scholarship, must apply as Early Decision or Early Action candidates, and all application materials, including those for admission, are due by November 3, 2008. Students who do not wish to be considered for the Harrison Scholarship may still apply for the University Honors Program and for Miami admission as Early Decision, Early Action, or Regular Decision candidates.

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCCOM) Dual Admission Program (DAP)
This program was developed by UCCOM and Miami University for exceptional students interested in obtaining their undergraduate degree at Miami and their medical degree at UCCOM. All applicants should have experience in healthcare and are strongly encouraged to apply for a Harrison Scholarship (see "Honors Program" above). DAP applications are due in early January.

Financial Aid
To apply for all need-based financial aid, including grants, select scholarships, loans, and the federal work study program, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (You can do this online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.) For priority financial aid consideration, you must submit the FAFSA between January 1 and February 15, 2009. Miami's institutional code is 003077. Accepted students who file a FAFSA by February 15 will be notified of their financial aid package in late March.
