The application fee may be submitted online at www.commonapp.org with a credit card or electronic funds transfer from a bank account, or through the mail with a check or money order made payable to Miami University. In order to submit the application fee online, applicants must first submit the Common Application or Miami's Supplement to the Common Application online. For students who qualify, an official fee waiver form may be submitted in lieu of the application fee. Students requesting a fee waiver must submit a waiver form from the College Board, the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), or a letter from a guidance counselor or representative of a social service/community agency stating that the fee would cause financial hardship. - Recommendation
A recommendation must be submitted by your counselor or a teacher on your behalf. This recommendation can be in the form of a letter; the School Report (PDF 168KB), completed by your counselor; or the Teacher Evaluation (PDF 246KB), completed by a teacher. The recommendation must be submitted directly from the school official. Only one recommendation is required. - Official High School Transcript
Your counselor must submit your official high school transcript electronically or by mail. (A copy of your senior course schedule must be included.) - ACT/SAT Scores
These scores must be sent directly from the testing agency. You can request submission of these scores to Miami by contacting ACT or the College Board (SAT). Miami's ACT code is 3294; the SAT code is 1463. (For admission and review purposes, no preference is given for ACT or SAT; Miami uses the highest test score submitted. For ACT, the best composite score is used; for SAT, the best Critical Reading and Math sub-scores are used.)
