Miami Access Initiative
You can set your sights high because Miami University is accessible to all of Ohio's academically qualified students, regardless of income.
The Miami Access Initiative is open to all new first-year students from Ohio entering the Oxford campus who have total family incomes less than $35,000. Dependent students relocating to Oxford from the Hamilton or Middletown campuses are also eligible.
Eligible students will have the full cost of their tuition and fees covered through grant and scholarship aid. Access students may utilize additional grant/scholarship aid and their federal loans to cover the cost of room, board and books.
Additional benefits you will enjoy as an Access Scholar:
- Attendance for you and a family member at Miami's Summer Orientation at no cost.
- Option to participate in Miami's MADE@Miami program, designed to help new students navigate the university while building a diverse network of friends and mentors.
- An Access faculty coach to provide the guidance and friendly support that make a Miami education a personal experience.
- Special workshops related to such topics as career development and financial management.
- Ability to earn spending money and gain work experience through the initiative's work-on-campus component.
