Located between Maple and Patterson Avenues (south of the Center for Performing Arts), Emerson Hall was dedicated November 1, 1970 and named for Bertha M. Emerson who worked for Miami between 1923-49 as assistant dean of women, acting dean of women and associate director of student affairs.
