BOAT RACE

With spring in full bloom, many campus sites are abuzz with activity. The annual "Shore to Slimy Shore" boat race across the Duck Pond produced a real winner: the boat remained intact and the captain stayed dry!

DEAN'S RECEPTION

At Patterson Place, with Dean Bill Gracie, WCP faculty, seniors and their guests looking on, Betty Sipe Gerber '52 presented Stephanie Lee '08 with the honorary Betty Koons Miller academic regalia. The award goes to the senior who, in the estimation of classmates, best embodies the "spirit of Western."

GRADUATION

Graduation was a special evening, with 42 seniors attending the joyous ceremony in Kumler, filled with family and friends.

The Wallace Award (named for Jacqueline Wallace, former Western Faculty and Director of the Alumnae Association) was presented by Betty Gerber to Martin Yip, selected by his classmates as the individual who best exemplifies the cooperative spirit of the Senior Workshop.
